In 2007, we tasked the Q Acoustics design team
with another seemingly impossible goal. This time we
wanted a world-beating 'Style' home cinema speaker
package; one which delivered a truly outstanding, all
enveloping, home cinema and music experience, but
which didn't intrude into the living space.
Naturally, like all Q Acoustics models, it should
also be extraordinarily affordable. Once again they
have 'Redefined the Possible'. The Q Acoustics 'Q-AV'
System is simply unparalleled.
Q Acoustics' brilliant design team have clearly
achieved the seemingly impossible. To attain the
exceptional level of performance, they embraced NXT
technology and developed bespoke BMR (Balanced Mode
Radiator) drive units. The Q Acoustics' Q-AV speakers
are the world's
first products to incorporate this state-of-the-art
technology.
A hybrid speaker utilising a moving-coil bass cone
coupled with NXT technology for exceptional clarity
and ultra-wide dispersion characteristics.
Advanced BMR drivers have a number of advantages
over conventional loudspeakers. Needless to say, like
any very high quality loudspeaker, they produce
excellent, dynamic, low distortion sound. However,
BMR drivers produce this sound from much smaller
cabinets than conventional speakers and also boast an
'Ultra-Wide' sound-field. This means listeners can
enjoy full home cinema sound from these speakers,
anywhere in the room and not just in the 'best seat'
as with ordinary speakers.
Uniquely, the front left, centre and right channel
speakers (LCR) fit any flat-screen television (from
37" to 50" screen size). The three front (LCR)
speakers come ready fitted to a width and depth
adjustable bracket (patent pending). This allows the
speakers to be perfectly aligned to all (37" to 50")
flat screen televisions. The speaker grille frame
adjusts like a 'trombone slide' and is then covered
with the supplied stretch grille cloth. Even the Q
Acoustics badge is magnetic, for easy removal.
Visually, the speakers 'disappear'. They simply
become part of the television.
